Bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus)

Description: 5 - 7 inches. Bullfrogs are green, and may have darker green or brown mottling. The belly is light colored, but it may also be mottled giving it a darker appearance. There is a ridge behind each eye that wraps tightly around the ear drum (tympanum).

Similar Species: Green Frogs are similar in appearance, but the ridge behind the eye extends down the length of the body.
